What is the Citizen Project all about?

• The Citizen Project is aimed at helping students fulfill their Citizenship education through participating in a community project.

• The Citizen Project helps young people who want to develop as Active Citizens by setting challenges and developing their skills of enquiry , communication , participation and responsible Community action.

• Young people can bid for funds to develop a community based project or a social enterprise as part of their formal and informal Citizenship & Enterprise education.

• This flexible, interactive and user-friendly, website provides an opportunity to develop their ICT skills.

• The Citizen Project is clearly structured to help student's present evidence and learning outcomes both as a group and individually. Students create individual project records 'on-line' that can also be used in their Progress Files .

• The project is ASDAN Accredited under the 'Active Citizen Award' and also carries credits towards Bronze, Silver & Gold ASDAN qualifications.
