Citizen Project Requirements
Before
applying to
take part in the Citizen Project, please read
the project requirements below.
We have also produced the requirements in word or pdf format if you wish to print them off.
 |
The project is open to students between 11 – 16 years olds to run a community project or a social enterprise (a mini-business with social objectives whose profits will be re-invested in the community).
The project funds must be used to deliver Citizenship and Enterprise education within a specific year group, a special class or the school council. |
 |
Successful bids will demonstrate an element of growth potential and longevity. Ideality each project should show the potential to self fund in the future or develop new projects.
Funds will be paid into a school account by cheque. These funds are subject to project approval at the bid stage. Each subsequent stage of funding is dependant on a full progress report and accounts summary.
The Citizen Project reserves the right to withhold payment in the case where project objectives are not being met.
A hard copy of accounts and receipts should be kept and submitted at the end of the project.
The Citizen Project reserves the right to withdraw funding where it feels the principles and objectives of the Citizen Project are being undermined. |
 |

Project Focus -
Charles Edward Brooke8c |
The Mobile Shed Community Project In our mobile shed Citizen Project we will enable community groups to raise funds to support their work by hiring our tuck shop shed. The Project will help the St Christopher's Hospice, Primary Schools, Day Care Centres and Charities in our Communities. Our Citizen Project team is split into a Finance, Communications, PR and a Design area. Finally every area has one leader. We plan to promote the Shed Citizen project with leaflets, Head's Tea Party and Mail outs. Furthermore we will finance the project with two different recourses: with the Citizen Project funds and raised money through cooking a lot of cakes at Christmas time. Our first success was to bye gifts for poor families in Africa with using www.greatgifts.co.uk. We are proud to bought a goat, a sheep, a water hygiene kit and a vaccination for a child in Africa. The long term benefit of our Citizen Project is raising more money for charities.
